A Forever Home For Special Needs Animals
Kaveri Rana Bhardwaj was destined to be an organic farmer in rural Uttarakhand. Instead, with deep rooted compassion for the most abused, broken, disabled and special needs animals, Kaveri founded Sophie Memorial Animal Relief Trust (S.M.A.R.T.) with Infoprenuer husband Yashraj Bhardwaj, after sudden demise of their Indian Dog Daughter Sophie.
S.M.A.R.T. was founded in 2017 to provide rehabilitation and therapy to disabled & special needs animals and also to work towards coexistence by reducing human-animal conflict by providing emergency rescue services, doing street dog sterilization drives, animal rehabilitation, providing veterinary aid and organizing awareness programs to promote Coexistence.
Not For Ourselves Alone!
That's the Myntra The DogMother Kaveri & her partner Yashraj always follow.
All beings deserve to live with dignity and deserve treatment, care and compassion.
S.M.A.R.T. Sanctuary strives to provide best therapy, care, food and Veterinary help to abused, disabled, senior & Special Needs Animals.

Sophie Memorial Animal Relief Trust, S.M.A.R.T. was founded on the promise that no "Special Needs" animal will ever be put down because of lack of funds, resources or shelter or otherwise. Every disabled abused or senior animal at S.M.A.R.T. is given the best care and treatment as we are strong believers in Second Chances.
We are a no-kill rescue, rehabilitation and lifelong care service provider for destitute and abused animals. We call this the SMART Sanctuary. Sanctuary is located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, and hundreds of rescued animals reside here lifelong without ever have to worry about food, shelter, treatment and care.
Sophie Memorial Animal Relief Trust a registered 12A / 80G Animal Welfare Organization that started in 2017 and supports disabled and abused animals across India.
SMART Sanctuary is not a ‘shelter’. We do not give our animals away nor release them back to terrible life on streets. Rescue animals at S.M.A.R.T stay here for life — this is a safe place where each being has a name and every animal is at home.

Hundreds of abused and destitute animals are a part of S.M.A.R.T. family. These are the animals who were either formerly blinded, stoned, run over and rendered paralyzed, sexually assaulted, slashed with knives or left on train tracks to die. Disabled Animals not just from Greater Noida but from Noida, Meerut, Delhi, Amritsar, Ghaziabad, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and many other cities come to reside permanently at SMART Sanctuary.
Animals who come to us are never kept chained, caged or isolated. They have access to 24 by 7 Multi Specialty Pet Hospital, their own ambulance and 24×7 water and power supply (even though we’re in a village).
All animals live freely within their enclosures in a 3000 Square Yard area. The enclosures have heaters during the winter; and individual water bodies for the animals to drink and play and cool off during the summers.
SMART Sanctuary is the home of not just India’s most neglected of street animals, but also of ‘Abandoned Pet Dogs’ — pets who have been thrown on roads by their owners to die.
